WARHORSE. My review

Alright Hos yesterday I decided to visit my favorite casino down the street and take in a movie. For those who didn't know several of the "local" casinos have huge movie theaters.
With 8 of us I was sure to get feedback on the movie and give a honest straight forward opinion.
Let's get the basics out of the way.
It's a movie about a war and a horse.
2 hours and 26 minutes long.
The first hint the kids would be bored was, Walking in to the theatre it was about 70% full of adults over the age of 60. I can tell you right now it's on target for its demographic.

The good? The horse is gorgeous and the cinematography is STUNNING. few poignant moments but, That is all.

That's it.
This movie is not best picture worthy at all.
I really wanted to love this movie. I kept waiting for my heart to jump out of my chest and burst with emotion.
I laughed a few times and cried once.
But then again I'm a tit bag when an animal dies. NO THAT'S NOT GIVING THE STORY AWAY EITHER.
Several animals and people die.
It's Steven Spielberg and its a war story, people will die!!
Anyho here's the rundown.
#9 told me it was ok but she then she flip flopped on the issue and took a hardline and said it was 2 hrs to long plus the storyline went nowhere. Plus to add insult to injury she said all she thought of was taco meat. (that's another blog post all to its own)
Bill liked it.
The oldest to kids split. One liked other thought it was ok.
Three youngest thought the popcorn and coke rocked.
I say wait for DVD. It's not that great of a movie.
Last. The stage production of WARHORSE has garnered critical acclaim and I would love to see it but the movie is lost in translation.

Comments
