Slippin

Having a mini midlife crisis.
Trying to decide just what the hell to do next. When my Mom was alive she would often ask me "What are you thinking about?" my response would always be "I'm just trying to figure it out?" which in turn would always be answered with " Your Father's been trying to figure it out for the last 40 years!"
Had the chance to run by the house for 22 hrs. and visit my lil sis and her kids. Well it seems she had taken all her 8 mm tapes and had them converted to disc.
Ho's I could watch those movies all day long. Being able to see, and hear My Mom's voice was bittersweet. As you can tell my mind is preoccupied and all witty stories have escaped me. Thank God I have all these great blogs to read and get me through this little fog.
Anyho, I'm seriously thinking about hanging the keys up... More on that later.
Let's Ride Ho's
Next Destination? San Antonio. You know PF Chang needs their leaf lettuce.

I can understand how hearing your mom's voice would be bittersweet. Well, you got to do what is best for you and your family... Good luck!!

My mom was very modest and hated to be photographed, and certainly would not allow a movie camera to be pointed her way!
I have thousands of pictures of us as kids, and quite a few of Daddy, but not a lot of Momma. The few I have are my treasures... sometimes I just stare at them and I can almost here her voice.
She still talks to me all the time and gets me through all sorts of pickles.
Talk to your momma- she's listening! Talk her through what your trying to sort out. She'll help you figure it out. I promise! She's still there for you! Always will be!
I bet she tells you "keep driving, ho!"

We're doing that with slides. Need to do it with the video tapes.
Hangeth in there!

What will you do if you quit driving? What's behind this?

I still miss my father, and he died in 1976. I'm fortunate that I still have my mother and am thankful every day! I dread so much when it happens. So I know you miss yours.

Many hugs, Tugboat!

I know what you mean about Moms. I miss mine somethin' fierce. But if I'm real still, and listening carefully, I can still hear her say, "Oh Bobby!"

there was a horrific accident here today when a 4-wheeler lost control on i-75 under the nine mile underpass in hazel park and collided with a tanker, which blew it up, then caused the bridge over the freeway to collapse on another semi. somehow, everyone made it out alive but it made me think of you and hope that you and your fellow ho's are okay and safe in your travels across our country.

take care of yourself and i agree with ms. g, talk to your mom, she's listening. i talk to my grandma all the time.

I hear ya about figuring it out. I am still trying. I've had a couple of different careers in my lifetime. Good luck in your quest for an answer. In the meanwhile, just try to keep from stallin'.

If you are anything like me, however, be careful to honor the past with the videos without retreating to it.
