B.J. and the bear with a HOT LOAD on us.

YOU ARE SO NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!!No it ain't what you think it is. Did any of you watch this Hot mess of a show "BJ and the Bear" get back with me if you know what I'm talking about, if not google it Ho.

Wishing all you Good Buddies a Happy Valentine. As for Me, and My valentine we are currently under what they call a "Hot Load". No, and we ain't talking about taking no shit.

"Hot Loads" are usually a product, or item that must be delivered ASAP. These loads require a "Team" (two drivers) who can keep the product moving continuously.

We left San Antonio Wednesday morning en route to Lufkin Tx, there we picked up some Hot Chickens that had to absolutely be in Denver the next day, from there which was Thursday we were dispatched to Amarillo, Tx for a load of Beef. Now here's the hot part. The load was going to Chicago, and we delivered right down the street from Oprah's studios this morning. Every time we deliver that load I always look, and ask the people on the street do they ever see Ms. Harpo. But the fun doesn't stop there, that load had another drop at another location in Wisconsin. Around 1:00 p.m we dropped that trailer, and picked up a trailer full of ICE CREAM!!!! So now here we are blasting down I-35 in Iowa with a load of Ice Cream that has to be in Hanford, CA Monday afternoon. So for the next few days it will be GO GO GO just stopping for fuel, and a shower.
O.K. Biatchessss Pull up a seat and I'll give you a quick lesson before I sign off for the evening.There are a few products out on the market that require special handling, and routing.Ice Cream pints, any kind of sealed bags with air ( Frito lays, potato chips) are just a few of them. These products will expand in Higher Altitudes, and cause the ice cream pints to pop their lids off, and the chips bag to burst. So when we pick up Ice Cream, like we did today in Wisconsin, we have to take the scenic route. The route sends you down south of the Rocky Mountains, and back up. Bet you didn't know that. Did ya?

You are wealth of info, good buddy! Sometime when you're not carrying a "hot load" and you're taking I-10 or I-45 through Houston, you'll have to stop for a cocktail or 3. Of course, not when you're driving. Which I guess makes that kinda tough. You figure it out!

I've learned a lot in the last few years. HOWDY!!

Is anybody out there???? Everyone has left the blogs for facebook, including me. Well I'm back for at least this post. I'm no longer driving a truck. Bill and I live in Monte Vista, a historic district within the city limits of San Antonio, Texas. Number 9 has moved to the Houston Area along with all her kids in tow. Texas was where we grew up and it appears we left for all the right reasons. Getting back to the neanderthal ways of life are a huge adjustment but trust me, I'm having a much easier time than #9. She has been bombarded by southern Baptist at every turn and it has been a trying time for her to readjust. Back in June I was hurt on the job in Ohio and required a 10 day hospital stay followed by several months of therapy. I'm just now almost back at where I began and hopefully by the middle of the new year, I'll be good as new again. Why the move??several. Oh gawd, What a week already. I did some things around the house but sleeping has become the norm, when I'm not eating. So. On the 26th, it will be one year since #9 shot across the sky in rocking light of fire. It was Friday, just about noon on that day when I whispered in her ear and ask if this was it. She said three words. I love you. Gone like that. On Friday that week she was in Phoenix at the Cancer Center of America. Walking, Talking and doing her thing. Although the news was shitty as hell and they said she would be needing to check in to hospice centers back in Texas, she walked to the airplane, flew back to Texas and walked to her car at the airport. She was a tough old broad as Mom would say. She called me on her journey home to tell me the news and what they had advised her to do. It was a tough talk but we had it.
