Anyhoo, up here headed to Green Bay, Wisconsin with a load of beef. These are phrases used on your C.B. to describe your rapid movement, and you know I got my ears, and eyes open(C.B. on and listening) for all smokey bears. Why the rush?, Oscar's come on tonight, and I really would like to see some of it.
Good Buddies here is today's lesson for you Open road Ho's.
There are three types of (Ho's) truck drivers.
1. Company driver; a person, or persons that drive a commercial vehicle for employment. They are paid a fee for miles driven. The company employing the driver is responsible for furnishing a truck, trailer,freight, and pay for all their expenses (fuel,etc...). So basically you work for someone, and the only thing you are responsible for is your own expenses, (like food, and driver licenses).
Ho'ology meaning; you are dating, and girl he is paying for everything.
2. Owner/Operator; this is a individual that owns their own truck. Now this is where it gets confusing. If you are an O/O all the expenses fall back on you, but if you sign a contract with a large company to haul their product, with their trailers they will reimburse you for some permits, and fees. The Majority of O/O have their own trailers, and broker(find)their own freight and pay for everything.
Ho'ology; Biatch you married that sonabitch, now suck it up and deal with it.
3. Lease Operator/Owner; This is relatively a new thing the trucking industry is doing, and it can be a good thing, and a bad thing. First the basics. A lease operator is someone who buys a truck directly from a Trucking Company, rather a Truck dealership. The price of your truck payment is taken directly out of your settlement(paycheck) first and at any time you can walk away from the truck with no out of pocket expenses, no credit needed just good driving references.
Ho'ology; You are a modern day ho- you get paid for services rendered, dont ask-dont tell, and aint nobody got to know, Ho go get yo new car they aint got No credit check. For all you rent-a-center ho's this the same as you going down to Rent-Buy and getting a couch, and when your relatives leave after Christmas you can return it no questions asked.
The bad part is this, you build no equity ever until the truck is paid off.
