Here you have what they call a sleeper cab which is the most popular of all trucks built, this usually allows room behind the driver for a bed of some sort. Raised roof sleeper cabs come in several sizes, and configuration so keeping it simple will go with the average 70 inch raised roof, meaning that the interior has a high roof that allows your top bunk to fold away, and even when standing on the bottom bunk with the top bunk put up you have about 6 ft. of headroom. Most all of the sleepers made come with these options: XL twin bunk, or double bunks, small fridge/freezer, T.V. area including pre wired antenna's, numerous cabinets, and storage spaces, plus separate heating and A/C units. The Truck I currently have has a convertible bunk, which allows me to use it as a dinette.
A new feature called an APU (auxiliary power unit) is a small diesel generator separate from the engine of the truck that supplies your vehicle with electricity, and A/C or heat. The Government is cracking down on truck idling because of pollution and green house gases, and this allows you to be comfortable with out running your truck. Plus your savings by having an APU our huge, Rigs burn about a gallon of fuel and hour to idle (price of fuel $3.00 a gallon times say 10 hours is $30.00) where as an apu burns 1 gallon every 10 hours



Pleasant surprises for all you wannabee butch ho's, a big majority of trucks being produced come with "get this" An Automatic Transmission. Just like alot of the cars driven today, just put the gear shift in D and go go go.Or as the say in truckology. Slap the dash, step on the gas, and go go go. With this option girls, you are able to put your left foot up, drink a Dr. Pepper, smoke a cigarette, and turn corners all while staring down at the Hotness in the car beside you.
FYI for all you scandalous ho's, from where I sit I can look down in any car and see whoever is driving it from about the chest down. So If you are ever doing something completely crazy like driving with your panties off, remember it can be seen. Booyah. ( Another story, another blog)


Also here you see some of the more fancier trucks out there. These are called stretched Sleepers and are popular with older couples who want to stay out on the road, with maximum comfort. These have all the bells and whistles including their very own tub and shower SWEET!
Price tag $165,000.

I had no idea the inside of those things were so plush and roomy! Now, realistically, the smaller the space, the harder it is to keep it neat and clean. Does yours look neat and pretty like these pictures, or is it a hot tranny mess?

I've learned a lot in the last few years. HOWDY!!

Is anybody out there???? Everyone has left the blogs for facebook, including me. Well I'm back for at least this post. I'm no longer driving a truck. Bill and I live in Monte Vista, a historic district within the city limits of San Antonio, Texas. Number 9 has moved to the Houston Area along with all her kids in tow. Texas was where we grew up and it appears we left for all the right reasons. Getting back to the neanderthal ways of life are a huge adjustment but trust me, I'm having a much easier time than #9. She has been bombarded by southern Baptist at every turn and it has been a trying time for her to readjust. Back in June I was hurt on the job in Ohio and required a 10 day hospital stay followed by several months of therapy. I'm just now almost back at where I began and hopefully by the middle of the new year, I'll be good as new again. Why the move??several. Oh gawd, What a week already. I did some things around the house but sleeping has become the norm, when I'm not eating. So. On the 26th, it will be one year since #9 shot across the sky in rocking light of fire. It was Friday, just about noon on that day when I whispered in her ear and ask if this was it. She said three words. I love you. Gone like that. On Friday that week she was in Phoenix at the Cancer Center of America. Walking, Talking and doing her thing. Although the news was shitty as hell and they said she would be needing to check in to hospice centers back in Texas, she walked to the airplane, flew back to Texas and walked to her car at the airport. She was a tough old broad as Mom would say. She called me on her journey home to tell me the news and what they had advised her to do. It was a tough talk but we had it.
